An inlay is a restoration usually placed on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, fitting within the confines of the teeth.
Onlays cover the whole chewing surface of the tooth and can be made of porcelain, tooth-coloured composite or gold.
The procedure involves the removal of old fillings or decayed tooth structure, preparation of the tooth cavity and taking an impression of the cavity to create a custom-made inlay or onlay. The treatment is usually complete within two sessions.
Following our comprehensive examination, which may include photos and radiographs, any areas of concern will be discussed and if required we will provide the above treatment. Cotteswold House will ensure that your treatment is as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
