Meet Jess, our Patient Coordinator

orthodontic painOur Patient Coordinator, Jess, is the first port of call for all new patients. She will welcome you to the practice, fill in the relevant paperwork and then introduce you to your dentist and dental nurse.  Once you have had your dental examination, you will then have the opportunity to discuss your treatment plan with Jess.  She can answer any questions you may have and chat about our payment options and membership plans.

Jess has been working at Cotteswold House for ten years and started as a dental nurse in 2007.  Since having her first child, she has now returned as our patient coordinator. You will find her friendly and approachable with a wealth of knowledge.

Jess does not only see our new patients.  She chats daily to existing patients at the practice about treatments they may be considering, discussing our membership plans, or different treatment options we offer at the practice.  She also sees many patients who want to know more about cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.

Consultations with Jess are always free of charge and can be booked in at a time to suit you.

Before your first visit

Prior to your first visit at Cotteswold House, we will take your contact details over the phone and book an appointment for you. We’ll need to review your medical history for your own safety, and have a medical form available to download. Please complete as much of the form as you can and bring it with you to the first appointment.

You will be able to give us a record of other personal details on your arrival at the practice. If you do not have a welcome pack, ask for one on your arrival and we will provide one for you.

Your initial consultation is an opportunity for you to meet our dental team and discuss any concerns you have about your teeth and oral health.

Your new dentist will carry out a thorough examination, and radiographs may be necessary to gain a full picture of any dental issues you may have.

After the examination, the dentist will talk to you about any problems they have found. Combining this with any concerns you may have raised yourself, we will discuss possible treatments and explain the costs and alternatives where applicable. You will be told all the pros and cons of each option, and once you’ve come to a decision, we will work with you to create a treatment plan. After we give you a full written estimate, we can begin to arrange treatment appointments.

For more complex cases, the dentist might need some time to review the situation and will arrange a second appointment where you will be provided with the treatment options as above. In cases like this, we can provide a detailed list of treatment options in writing so you can consider them in full and will be able to ask further questions before coming to a definitive treatment plan.

We look forward to welcoming you to Cotteswold House!
